Dear Guests,

Welcome to Luxe on the Links!  Thank you so much for choosing our home for your vacation!  We hope you enjoy your stay here in sunny Phoenix, Arizona and that you enjoy the house. We are located in the beautiful Ahwatukee Foothills neighborhood of Phoenix.  Whether you are here to golf, see the sights, relax with family, or get out of cold weather, we hope your visit with us is one you cherish for many years to come.

Below is the information that we think will be helpful to you for the duration of your stay.  Please read the house information/rules carefully.   Thank you for respecting our home, and for treating it with the same respect you would treat your own home. This house and all outdoor grounds are 100% non-smoking at all times.  We have listed our house rules and requests below and we truly appreciate you showing an abundance of care for our home.

Bedrooms

Downstairs Bedroom
This bedroom is perfect for any person, or couple, that has trouble with stairs. The adjacent full bathroom creates a perfect getaway space for anyone ready to rest a bit.  There are two dresser drawers for clothes at the foot of the bed.  This room has an additional floor fan to help keep the room cool during the hotter months of the year.

Babe Ruth Bunk Bed Room
This bunk room is for the biggest sports fan of the bunch.  Enjoy some TV time on the comfy bean bag chairs, or get some shut eye on either the top or bottom bunk.Make sure to have the fan OFF when you’re climbing onto or off of the top bunk!

California Dreamin’ Room
Come into this room to relax, do your makeup, or get some shut eye.   Make sure to take in the incredible golf course and lake views from this room. Sweet dreams!

Upstairs Master Bedroom
Dreaming of luxury?  You have found your oasis.  From the king sized bed, the stunning mountain views from the bathroom, the bathtub with a peek a boo view down to the pool, you have ARRIVED.  Also, if you’ve got to stay connected during your stay, this room offers a dedicated work space.  And you’ve got a walk-in closet to stow away your luggage, clothes, and shopping bags.

Pool

We hope you love the pool!  We want to make sure your swim time is safe and enjoyable, and that the pool is working properly during your stay.   The pool is approximately 4 ½ feet deep at its deepest point, so while children can never, ever swim alone it is also essential that you do not ever dive head first into the pool.   As you can tell, no lifeguard is on duty, so you’re swimming at your own risk.  Thank you for not running, not having glass next to the pool deck, and for staying off of the netting that surrounds the pool area.  This netting is to protect guest from wayward golf balls, and is never for climbing.

Keeping the Pool Clean
Professional pool cleaners come every Tuesday, and they clean the pool beautifully.  There will be flowers or leaves that will get into the pool other days.  This is because we have beautiful trees and lush greenery right next to the house.  We figure flowers in the pool is a fantastic tradeoff for having a greenery and golf course view while you’re relaxing on the lounge chairs! Should you want to remove flowers and leaves on days the pool cleaner is not there, the pool skimmer net hangs on the brick will in the fenced area next to the garage.  Thank you for returning a cleaned out pool net to its location after every use.   Additionally, thank you for leaving all of those items in the pool toy holder when you’re done with them.

The Pool Vacuum
The vacuum is essential to keep the pool clean.  It needs to be in the pool every day to keep the pool maintained.  If you choose to remove the vacuum when you are in the pool, please store the vacuum and hose under the patio so it does not dry out and start to melt in the hot Arizona sun.  The vacuum needs to be attached at the end to the pool cleaning mechanism, and placed back into the pool every night, so it can do its job of cleaning the pool floor each night for you.

Pool Equipment
Please do not access or operate the pool equipment on the side of the house. Doing so may cause the equipment to stop working.

Heating
If you have paid the additional daily fee to heat the pool, it should be heated to approximately 87 degrees, give or take a few degrees, when you arrive for your stay. Should there be any issues with the pool heater, please let us know immediately.   Please text or call Tina Walters, VACASA pool manager for assistance.

Pool Maintenance
Barefoot Pools cleaning service comes once a week on Tuesday to clean the pool and check the pool equipment.

Other Items

BBQ
The bbq requires a propane tank, and one should be filled by VACASA upon your arrival.  Please make sure to reasonably clean the BBQ after each use, and turn the propane tank off after every use.   Should you want to refill your propane tank immediately, ACE Hardware, just around the corner, provides this service

Water Cooler
Some guests prefer water from a water cooler.  Should you run out of water cooler water during your stay, the water cooler bottles can be refilled at the local water store, Water and Ice, located in the strip mall next to Safeway.

Fireplace
The fireplace inside the house is just for show! The candles do turn on if you’d like to have a nice evening glow.

TV
The TVs in the home have streaming television. YouTubeTV is provided and includes MLB.tv. Other streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, AppleTV and PrimeVideo are available using your account.

Board Games
We have plenty of board games for your enjoyment, they are located in the cabinet below the mirror in the family room.  Thank you for returning the board games back into the cabinet with all pieces when you’re finished with them.

Heat & A/C
We have the Nest units set to temperatures that should be comfortable for you.  Sometimes the heat in Arizona is significant, and it can feel warm inside even with the A/C on full blast.  We have installed brand new fans in every bedroom to keep you comfortable.

Parking
Space for two cars in the driveway is provided.  Thank you for always parking your cars in the driveway, as no overnight street parking is allowed in the Augusta neighborhood.

Groceries
Safeway is located just a few minutes from the house on East Chandler. It is also available on Instacart if you want to have groceries delivered to the house.

Pool Table
Please do not put any food or drinks on the pool table itself.  The tables have been placed in the pool room specifically for placing food and drinks on them instead of the pool table itself.

Garbage Day
Garbage Day is Thursday.  Please know that on Wednesday, someone will gather the trash cans from behind the fence, should you not put it out yourself by 5:00 p.m.   If you would rather place out the trash cans yourself, please place them on the street Wednesday by 5:00 and return them behind the first fence Thursday by 5:00.

Yard Maintenance
A yard maintenance person comes every other Thursday.  As part of their duties, they do use a machine to blow off the front and back leaves on the property.

Pest Control
A pest control service comes once a month, usually during the day on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to spray for pests.

Owner’s Closets
There is an owner’s closet downstairs, next to the pool table, upstairs in the hallway.  Additionally, the garage is not for guest entry.   Please do not attempt to open any of these doors.

Electric Panel
You will find the electric panel between the first and second gates outside of the house.  Please only access it in the extremely unlikely case of a power outage and after first contacting VACASA.

Windows
Open windows can interfere with our home alarm system, which will be set after your check out.  Please ensure all windows are closed upon check out.

Quiet Time
This house only has one direct neighbor, but we still request that the house has general outdoor quiet hours of 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. daily.
